The Pole Passion Pole Fitness & Dance Syllabus is an ongoing project to document some of the more popular and longstanding moves in the industry. The Core Moves syllabus contains 200 key moves at Levels 1-5, covering poses, transitions, spins, inverts, combinations and conditioning. For each move we have included a written breakdown of how to complete it, and a video. The Core Moves Syllabus also includes suggested Training and Lesson Plans to help you structure your training or instructing. This includes regressions, progressions and alternatives. There are also videos with example warm ups and cool downs, to help you train at home or to inspire you to create new content for your classes. A fantastic tool for students and instructors alike, the Pole Passion Core Moves Syllabus is the way to take your training and teaching to the next level! Please note that the syllabus is not a teaching aid and that you should seek the advice of a qualified instructor before attempting any of the moves. ADVANCED COURSE OVERVIEW Our Advanced Pole Fitness Instructor Course covers all the fundamentals of growing an established Pole Fitness business. This course will give you the skills and knowledge you need to progress to advanced level instructing. As well as the progression in practical moves, we look at how to retain students and how to deal with the some of the challenges that instructors face when teaching at an advanced level. This course builds on the fundamentals covered in the Beginner to Intermediate course, so it is a requirement that you have completed the Beginner to Intermediate Pole Fitness Instructor Training course (or equivalent) before starting this course. Take your teaching to a new level and give your students the best possible instructing! Our Advanced Course is split into theory and practical sections, each with an assessment. Course Overview The Advanced Course is split into 2 parts (theory and practical assessment). This course takes approximately 20 hours to complete plus an additional 3-4 hours of assessment time. Requirements Pole Passion Beginner to Intermediate Pole Fitness Instructor qualification or equivalent (please note you will be required to provide evidence of this. If you cannot provide evidence, we will not issue an Advanced certificate) We recommend 2 year of experience of doing pole fitness as a student and 1 year of experience of instructing at a beginner to intermediate level You must have access to an environment suitable for safely executing all moves covered to complete this training Exercise to Music level 2 or equivalent (advisory Where students do not have this pre-requisite, they will not be able to access CIMSPA Membership) Anatomy and physiology knowledge and customer service experience (advisory) First aid certification Assessment Theory assessment via online multiple-choice exam. Practical assessment by video submission and email. The majority of the course is compatible with mobile devices, however you may find some content such as tables, is difficult to view. Practical section including online videos and explanations of over 50 advanced level static pole moves, including poses, inverts, conditioning, combinations, and dynamic moves. BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE COURSE OVERVIEW Our Pole Fitness Beginner to Intermediate Instructor Training Course covers all the fundamentals of becoming a pole fitness instructor. Beginner to intermediate moves are covered, as well as the essential knowledge required for setting up a pole fitness business. Start your instructing career the right way with a qualification that gives you all the essential knowledge and skills to be a safe and effective instructor Our Beginner to Intermediate Instructor is split into theory and practical sections, each with an assessment. Course Overview The Beginner to Intermediate Course is split into 2 parts (theory and practical assessment). This course takes approximately 20 hours to complete plus an additional 3-4 hours of assessment time. Practical section including online videos and explanations of over 100 beginner and intermediate level moves, including mounts, poses and dynamic moves. Infection Risk Management for Pole & Aerial Instructors This online course covers how to adapt your pole or aerial studio or classes in response to high transmission rates of a virus or disease, such as in a pandemic. It is designed for both studio owners and instructors. The course provides information on possible steps to take, as well as templates you can use and a list of additional sources of information. There is a 10 question TRUE/FALSE knowledge check at the end - a passing score of 70% will entitle you to a certificate of completion of the course, which you can display at your business or online.
