Our Foundation Pole Fitness Instructor Course covers all the fundamentals of becoming a pole fitness instructor. Beginner to intermediate moves are covered, as well as the essential knowledge required for setting up a pole fitness business.

Our Foundation Course is split into theory and practical sections, each with an assessment. 


Theory section:

Online learning that covers essential knowledge for teaching at beginner to intermediate level. This includes set-up aspects such as choosing a venue, choosing equipment and recruiting clients. In addition, the course provides you with the knowledge and skills required for running regular safe and effective lessons, including information on risk assessments, client screening, lesson planning, motivating clients, class control, choreography, licences and insurance. 


Practical section:

Online videos and explanations of over 75 beginner and intermediate level moves on static pole, including grips, transitions, transition combinations, poses and spins. Each move is broken down to allow you to teach it safely and effectively. Example warm up and cool down routines are also included.


Course format:

  • Online theory and practical learning
  • Online theory assessment
  • Practical assessment consisting of a mock lesson teaching 5 of the moves covered in the course. The moves are allocated to each student at random. The practical exam is completed by video assessment, which is sent to us by email or submitted via video/Vimeo/Youtube/Dropbox link. The practical exam can also be completed in person by attending the exam portion of one of our scheduled training dates.   • POLE PASSION certification is only awarded upon successful completion of each course component and reaching the required standards during the theory and practical assessment. 


This course also provides:

  • 16 REP’s points
  • A certification which is recognised in Europe, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and USA
  • Advice and access to continual ongoing business and training support opportunities, including progressive training to advanced pole fitness techniques and beyond with master trainers and Instructors worldwide.



  • Minimum one year pole fitness, fitness or dance experience (advisory)
  • Exercise to Music level 2 or equivalent (advisory)
  • Anatomy and physiology knowledge and customer service experience (advisory)
  • First aid certification




Provide participants with the knowledge and skills to safely and accurately teach mixed ability beginner to intermediate pole fitness classes in a group and 1-2-1 setting. Support participants to explore different styles of pole fitness and develop their own unique teaching style.


Objectives & Outcome:

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand pole fitness terminology
  • Outline appropriate venue checks and the contents of a hazard risk assessment
  • Outline appropriate client checks and the contents of a PARQ
  • Understand the pole equipment available and explain the checks required to ensure it is used safely
  • Understand and teach the principals of Pole Passion pole fitness, including core stability, correct body posture, breathing, pole transitions, pole poses, pole tricks, pole spins, warm ups, cool down and stretches specific to pole
  • Demonstrate an ability to teach effectively and communicate using visual, verbal & kinesthetic techniques specific to pole
  • Apply variations to increase or decrease exercise and flexibility intensity
  • Produce a four-week plan for Pole Passion Fitness lessons at beginner and intermediate level, demonstrating an understanding of the principles of pole fitness and showing appropriate progressions and adaptation
  • Explain how to identify any specific client learning needs and how best to support their learning style
  • Explain how to deal with class distractions and how to motivate clients
  • Understand the business requirements for running a pole fitness class

Changes and Cancellations by us
If we have to make a significant change or cancel, we will tell you as soon as possible. Whilst we always endeavour to avoid changes and cancellations, we must reserve the right to do so. This relates to alterations to the event and classes booked with us and applies to start dates and end dates, times and venue locations. If a change has to take place, we will offer suitable alternative.


Changes and Cancellations by you
Once payment has been processed, you are booked for the specific date and event you have asked for. If you wish to change your booking in any way we will try to accomodate your requests but we cannot guarantee that changes are possible.

Deposits will not be refunded, in any circumstances.

If you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, you should advise us immediately by telephone or email where we will make a cancellation charge on the scale shown. You are advised to take out adequate cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
The above does not affect your statutory rights. Our Terms & Conditions are subject to English Law & Courts.

Health and Safety  
Before taking part in any physical activity with us or a Pole Passion representative or instructor, all students are required to fill out a medical questionnaire and sign a disclaimer. If you have doubts about your physical well-being or know that you are pregnant, please inform your Pole Passion instructor before engaging in any type of activity and please supply us with a medical certificate. If you are booking on behalf of a group, please check with all your guests and advise us of any injuries or if anyone is pregnant. You must correctly follow instructions given by Pole Passion staff and instructors at all times and failure to do so may result in instruction being delayed or stopped without recourse.
